January 13, 2026 RE: PSA update Bus Transportation
Due to circumstances beyond our control, Mr. Acosta’s bus route will not run on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the afternoon, and on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in both the morning and afternoon. The route is expected to return to normal operation on Monday, January 19, 2026. Mr. Acosta’s route includes South Highway 54 to Oscura, Schlarb Road, the daycare area, and locations east of the railroad tracks. Mr. Allen’s bus route will not be affected and will continue to operate on its regular schedule. Carrizozo Municipal Schools is actively working to address bus route staffing needs. We continue to seek additional bus drivers and substitute drivers. If you are interested, please contact the Carrizozo School Administration Office at 575-648-2346.
